What else could I do but give this lovely set such a pretentious name? All component parts are from Michael's <3, pendants are glass, green beads are aventurine, and tiny beads are glass.
I wanted to make some over the top, pseudo-orientalist jewelry pieces, the kind of thing worn by a woman whose stage name sounds exotic and anagrams easily to an interesting phrase. I'm really happy with the earrings, but not too thrilled about the necklace. I do have plans for making a bracelet to match, and may shorten/revamp the necklace to make it more dance-friendly. |
